As You Like It
As You Like It is a comedy filled with bizarre encounters, witty pieces of text and peculiar characters that you cannot help but love. “It is true that a good story doesn’t need romance or humor, but a great comedy certainly benefits from having both” played at the ‘Zonnehuis’ Theater in Amsterdam North where we played all around our audience.
For many of our current cast the first introduction to Jo was at this production (via STA!). Richard III, a thrilling, vibrant play about greed and power. Richard is often described as having very different sides to his character, so we decided to cast two actors as Richard. Only one was visible to the other characters but they always had two pairs of eyes on their victims.
Imagine living in a house with your mother, her sister and her husband who used to be married to your mother. This was the reality for the two children from both these marriages, with our ‘dear old dad’ keeping even more secrets to himself. Hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time.
Vijf Miljoen Roebels
Translated from English by Jo herself, this show was a compilation of scenes from The Good Doctor. A comedy about class differences, awkward or downright strange characters, sharp wits and some beautiful truthful moments.
Scenes uit: Wie is er bang voor Virginia Woolf?
Our very first production was with just three members, but enthusiasm for ten! For two of them it was the very first introduction to playing in front of an audience. They played a variety of scenes from Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf.
